Hi Fancis,

Thank you for the chance to experience the Phuket islands with one of your Macgregor 26's.

The whole experience starting from your tips of which hotel to check into, how to make the bookings, where to shop for supplies...etc made the trip so much easier and stress free.

The pre-trip briefing you gave on the handling and safety of the boat was very through and as a novice sailor it made the adventure so much more enjoyable.

The only thing I would do differently on the next adventure with fun sail would be to rent the boat for a longer period, as there are so many island out there and it was heart breaking going back to the marina and only having seeing a handful.

Keep well and hope to see you soon.

Kind regards
Warren

Hi Francis,
Must apologise in the delay in leaving a message following our wonderful sailing trip with the Funsail Mcgregor 26 yacht.
You made it so easy for us to arrive in Thailand, by picking us up from the airport and taking us to the marina for a the excellent informative breifing and then onto the shops for supplies. The information that you provided made it very easy to sail to the exotic nearby Phang Gna Islands including Ko Yao Nai, Ko Phi Phi Don later on to Railay Beach area and Krabi before returning via Ko Yao and then along the Phukett coast and back to Boat Lagoon. What a wonderful experience. We saw local village cultures, fantastic scenery, azure blue tropical waters and fantastic sandy beaches with coconut palms and tropiclal near by jungles. Boat was perfect for the trip. Thankyou again.
Regards Roy and Yvonne

Hi Francis,
We had a great adventure while sailing the sees to PhiPhi. Learned a lot about monsoon winds and where to find good anker places. The boat is perfect for 2 and gives a lot of freedom and at the same time a challenging holiday. We hope you managed to get the rudderboard fixed easiliy. Thanks for the great service and we will be back for sure!

Hi Francis, already 3 weeks passed after our journey to Phi Phi island and we can`t forget that wonderful minutes we have spent on Macgregor.
The name "Fun-sail" exactly matches the things which were happening during our travelling - strong wind with the high waves then still, then the nice sailing conditions. Calm romantic nights on Maya bay with full sky of stars above the deck. Colorful tropic beaches accesible by dinghy, super great snorkling.
"Fun-sail" is the very good choise for that money to spend few days on the boat, specially for couples, we would repeat it at the first possibility.
Thanks, Francis, a lot for the great service, professional recomendations and good mood
Sincerely Yours, Galina and Audrius

Firstly, we would like to apologize for this very late post. We meant to do this early but forgot! lol. Anyway, Francis was a great help as we are novice sailors. He took a lot of time out of his day to help understand the workings of the boat. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us. Also, he is very interesting to talk to.
Our trip started from the marina and we had an overnight stay on Koh Rang Yai. That is a very beautiful island! Then the next day, we left for Koh Phi Phi Don. It was a nice trip albeit a little slow for us. What made it a little rough was the fact we had so little experience. We must admit the boat was a little cramped for our liking, but it was very relaxing.
We found out the hard way that the MacGregor 26M is a very sturdy and reliable boat. On the way back to Phuket, we encountered a strong thunderstorm we could not avoid. There was strong winds and about 3-4 foot waves. That may not be very high, but it seemed huge to us. The boat held up very well and did not let us down. Even though we had some rough times, over all it was a good experience.
We would like to take the time again to thank Francis for everything. We would really recommend renting the MacGregor 26M for all novice sailors. It is a fairly easy boat to learn and sail. Learning from Francis is both fun and interesting. He is a very nice man and we are glad to have met him and had him for an instructor.

First of all, we would like to thank Francis for his helpfulness, without him we would have lost our intercontinental flight, but also for being a wonderful guest who made us dream of faraway places with his interesting stories across the sea.
We left Boat Lagoon Marina march the 21st towards Phi Phi Island, with a short stop at Koh Kai Noi that we loved more than the famous Phi Phi, now overcrowded (except Di Caprio’s Lagoon still pleasant early in the morning or late at night). From Phi Don to Ho Ka Noi very nice place, but not so good anchorage. During the night, we had to leave the place because it was impossible to sleep:the waves came from the across wind direction. Sailing in nighttime in Thailand is a great experience: you are always surrounded by a lot of shining fishermen boats. To Ko Rok Nok, tourists decrease and you can enjoy the island beaches. 23rd in the morning we arrived in Ko Muk, a wild place with a strange hole in the middle of the island, even if on the east side there was a fantastic resort where we could have a beer and refuel the water tanks. In the night we stopped at Ko Ngai and the day after we sailed to Koh Lanta where we managed to refuel at the gasoline station and then we rested in a lovely “hippy” restaurant on the beach. Another night sailing to Koh Dom and for the first time with good wind; the beach appeared and disappeared with the low or high tide and people went to visit this magic on board the locals coloured boats. At sunset time look up in the sky, you will see hundreds bats flying over your head! 26th we were at Koh Hong, our favourite island: its bay seems the typical pirates bay. The center of this island worth a visit and its mangroves too. 27th in the night: we arrived in Koh Roi, it seemed a lake with low and calm water. To Koh Naka Noi, isolated place, nice beach, good people who helped us to find out our anchor lost in a wrong anchorage: their kindness gave us a smile in a difficult situation. 29th: back home...
